Who?

Garett and Kate Serban are worship leaders and songwriters with Bethel Music, based in Franklin, Tennessee. Garett, a Franklin native, and Kate, originally from Beaumont, Texas, grew up in ministry as worship pastor’s kids, deeply immersed in the life of the local church. Their passion for worship was cultivated from a young age—Kate leading worship as early as eight years old, and Garett, in middle school, leading his Youth Group. Both pursued their callings in college, with Garett earning a degree in Organizational Leadership from Southeastern University and Kate studying worship at The King’s University at Gateway. Their paths eventually crossed in Estero, Florida, where they both served as worship pastors at the same church, laying the foundation for their ministry together.

In March 2024, following a divine prompting, Garett and Kate launched “Worship Sessions”—a simple, spirit-led approach to worship with no agenda beyond encountering God. What started as a small step of faith quickly gained momentum, and within months, they found themselves partnering with Bethel Music—officially joining the collective in December 2024. Their journey has been marked by the faithfulness and favor of God, as they continue to lead, write, and create music that invites people into pure and authentic worship.

Stepping into a new season, Garett and Kate are traveling full-time, leading worship across the country, and cherishing their growing family. They have a three-year-old daughter, Eden James, and are welcoming their second child in June. Through it all, their heart's desire remains steadfast: to return to the simplicity of worship, creating melodies and space for others to encounter the presence of Jesus.
